Set on a tropical island in the PacificRodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific is set during World War II, Navy nurse Nellie Forbush falls for local plantation owner Emile De Becque. At the same time Lt. Joe Cable has his eye on young Liat, daughter of Bloody Mary. The grim realities of the war and their own prejudices threaten both of these budding romances. Starring Kelli O'Hara as Nellie, and Paulo Szot as Emile, and a supporting cast that includes Loretta Albes Sayre, Matthew Morrison and Danny Burnstein.
