Robert Steven Belew was born on December 23, 1949 in Covington, Kentucky and later changed his name to Adrian Belew. He is an American guitarist and vocalist who joined the rock band King Crimson in 1981. He has been associated with big names such as Frank Zappa whom he performed with in 1977 and David Bowie whom he toured with in 1978. He has contributed to many different albums and done work as a musical director and producer.
