Jimmy Buffett was born in 1946 in Mississippi and shortly after, his family moved to Alabama. Jimmy's father was a dock worker and from him Jimmy got his love of ships and the lure of the sea. According to Fortune magazine, Jimmy Buffett is on the list of the highest earning entertainers not only for his music, books, videos, nightclubs and clothing lines, but his yearly concert tour.
