The Legends Reno-Tahoe Open is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour. It is played annually in August in Reno, Nevada. The tournament is held at the Montr�ux Golf and Country Club The tournament takes place every year in the same week as the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. For its first three years, it had a full 156 player field (the World Golf Championship event had a field of about 40). When the World Golf Championship event went to a larger field (about 80 players) in 2002, the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open's field was reduced to 132 players. The 2007 purse was $3,000,000, with $540,000 going to the winner. The tournament was founded in 1999.
